Rosenhaus: Gore Talks to Heat Up

Jason Cole of Yahoo Sports is reporting that Frank Gore’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus is expecting contract talks with Frank Gore to “heat up” and start taking place in the next few days. This comes from Rosenhaus shortly after his other client Willis McGahee landed a new deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

“Obviously, [contract talks for Gore have] to heat up after where the market has gone the past week for running backs,” Rosenhaus said. “You’d like to think that a deal for Frank is imminent,” Rosenhaus said.

  10. well, I have to say, Rosenhaus has been more than reasonable this year. Mchagee’s contact is pretty good 26.5 for 5 years, with 2 option years of 7 and 7, about 13.5 in guaranteed money given in a signing bonus then roster bonus in the 2nd year that gets prorated.

    I think if the 49ers can get gore for about 10 guaranteed and 5 years at 5 million then it’s a good deal. I can’t imagine they’re going to ask for more for gore than mcgahee as he’s only had one good year.
