Satan Wants Gore to Get Richest Contract

As I reported a couple days ago, Gore is scheduled to earn $435,000 in base pay this season. If backup running back Maurice Hicks signs his one-year tender as a restricted free agent, the 49ers will pay him $850,000. So unless Gore and the 49ers reach a deal for the coming season, Hicks could be making nearly twice as much as Gore.

I’ve been told that Gore’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has informed the 49ers that he’s not signing a deal for anything less than the richest contract in the league. (Rosenhaus has not returned repeated phone calls seeking comment.)

The 49ers need to pay Gore a nice sum of money, but they also can’t put themselves in a position where a big contract would come back to haunt them. As much as everyone likes Frank Gore, you also have to consider that last season was the first time since his senior year of high school that he played an entire season without being limited by injuries.

  1. fuck rosenhaus. give gore his money but def not the richest in the league and have gore prove that he can get through without injuries one more year

  2. FRANK GORE…..get rid af that ASSHOLE.he will fuck up your career as a 49er.come back to earth and ask for something agreeable. YOUR NOT A FOOTBALL GOD AFTER JUST ONE SEASON.dont get me wrong i like frank gore, but he is replaceable.

  3. rosenhaus can go fuck himself, there is no way that gore will ever see that kind of money. he had one good year!!! i love gore, but the niners are not stupid, their not gonna give him that kind of crazy money based on one season. they would rather franchise him after next season and receive 2 first round picks. the niners wont jeopardize their future for one player, no matter how good that player is. rosenhaus is talking out of his ass. they smelled a little money and they went overboard. we dont have to do anythimng about gore for 3 years, i agree we have to extend him but we have the leverage, not satan. gore will get what the niners want to pay, not what satan wants them to pay. by the way nfl network says were gonna get tedd ginn jr. and griffin from texas in the 2nd. but it was marshall faulk so dont buy too much into it, it would be sick though. they also said some teams think jamaal anderson will fall to the end of the first day?!?! if thats true i would be extatic if we got him even though i highly doubt it

  4. mario they also said we would get anthony spencer or a defensive end in the third round too.he is a first round talent that wont go past the first round on many mock drafts.i didnt see anything on that trade about kwame harris and a second round pick for takeo spikes.is it true?and if it is, hasnt takeo been injured two out of the last three years and over thirty?i dont like this bullshit that rosenhaus is putting in frank gores head.i hope we dont have to start looking for another starting runningback in the draft again.

  5. I’ve been saying all along…let Gore prove his reliability this upcoming season and then offer him a nice contract. If Rosenhaus tells Gore not to accept, play hardball and force him to test free agency. He’ll be restricted and we can match or get something in return if it’s crack smoke money for a rb. The guy’s good but his knees are sooo suspect he probably won’t be a long time producer like an Emmitt Smith or a Barry Sanders. He’s slightly undersized, extremely susceptible to injury and prone to fumbling. Gore is definitely NOT worth the top money like that leach Rosenhaus would like to believe.

  6. THE GUY IN THE BACK GROUND DONT LOOK LIKE HE LIKES DREW EATHER.AND HE KIND OF LOOKS LIKE BARRY BONDS.

  7. Draft Micheal Bush, Franchise Gore next year and tell Drew to go Fuck Himself. We have a ton of leverage and picks.Fuck Drew!

  8. YOU NINERS FANS CAN FUCK YOURSELFS!!! FRANK, DESERVES THE BEST MONEY PAID FOR RUNNING BACKS. YOU ASSHOLES DONT KNOW TALENT IF IT HITS YOU RIGHT BETWEEN YOUR FUCKIN EYES. THIS IS WHAT I DO, I GET MY CLIENTS PAID TOP FUCKING MONEY!!! I WILL LET YOU KNOW NOW THAT IF THE NINERS DONT GIVE HIM A CONTRACT DEAL, FRANK WILL SIT OUT ALL SEASON. IN ONE YEAR OF STARTING DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY RECORDS HE BROKE? JUST ONE FUCKING YEAR. GO FUCK YOURSELF ASSWIPES.

    YOURS TRULY,

    DREW ROSENHAUS

  9. Dolphins #9 overall and Ronnie Brown for Frank Gore and his largest conract ever.

    Deal?

  10. Done

  11. WE SHOULD TRADE KWAME HARRIS AND DEREK SMITH FOR THE KING LOL

  12. Gore’s a great guy and hard worker, but he has to prove himself for more than one season. I love his attitude, but Drew Rosenhaus will be the biggest problem. The 49ers should put clauses in the contract like they did with Bryant, where if Gore doesn’t play, he doesn’t get paid as much or something to that effect. At least that lets Gore know they will take care of him, but only when he actually plays. I don’t think anything should be done this year anyways, he signed that deal and was aware of what it paid. The 49ers don’t have to do anything until at least next season.

  13. just after one season, the agent is looking for a fat contract. all these high profile agents are assholes who just keep milking.

  14. gore is good, but no way he deserves the richest contract in the league. he still has the body of a 35 year old.

  15. Rosendeeppockets is becoming as bad as the Poston’s were a couple years ago. So Rosy, if you want the richest “sounding” contract of all time then be prepared to accept a contract based on roster bonuses and around 20 million guaranteed. With the roster bonus angle, a contract can be 10yrs./120 million, but if Gore is hurt after next year then the 49ers can move and not be saddled with “dead” money. The thing about Rosenfag is that he may push this so much it will effect Gore in the locker room and on the field. Obviously, I want to keep Gore, but anyone who wants to be contract raped from Rosencock should just get in line, because that’s what he is offering.

  16. I agree with Dano draft micheal bush and franchise gore if gore and his nut ass agent is going to play hardball and if he keep fucking around with THE AGENT then he’s going to put gore in a fucked up position and yes the niners has the the upper hand in this situation.

I don’t even want to say his name so I’m calling him THE AGENT like parcells called you know who THE PLAYER and if I’m not mistaking LT is not getting the money THE AGENT is trying to get gore, I mean fuck LT and all I’m just using him to make a point but we need to see if gore will put up the same numbers if not more like the 2200 yards he said he’ll go for next season then yes give him a good contract but he can probably be the most paid out of the running backs but not overall of the league I can’t believe gore is allowing THE AGENT to do this and it’s not cool!

  17. FUCK DREW I HATE THAT GUY FRANK FIRE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. M. Bush…..draft him n the 3rd round….an we good

  19. gore wont fuck over the niners…there the team that gave him his shot in the nfl

drew rosenhaus has no bargaining power, and frank gore cant afford to sit out a season, he will get his due but if hes asking for the most money in the league the niners will just keep him for the 400,000 dollars it takes

niners have all the leverage…who cares what rosenhaus says

  20. I love frank gore but his knees arent too good so wait till after this season then give him a fat contract if he satys healty

  21. Rosenhaus is an ass. Nonetheless, Gore still deserves to get paid.

  22. Everybody needs to calm down.

Just give him an incentive based contract with large bonuses available if he and the team reach certain goals. For example, give him a $5,000,000 bonus if he hits the 2,000 yard mark (like he is predicting), and give him another $5,000,000 if the team wins the Super Bowl… add in some other bonuses based on playing time and he’ll have the opportunity to be the highest paid player, but don’t just hand him the keys to the castle after one season.

  23. Why can’t Gore just hire Ari Gold? I heard Ari needs a high profile client since he got dropped by Vincent Chase. Ari won’t screw either the Niners or Gore because he cares!

  24. ‘9ers next year Prediction = VICTORY

  25. well if it was up to drew all of americas money would be tided up in the nfl players contracts.he wants every player to get the bigest contract 100 million and over, but reallity will kick him in the ass.SO FAR GORE HAS BEEN A ONE YEAR HIT WONDER AND DESERVES A MEDIOCRE CONTRACT IN THE TOP 15 RUNNINGBACKS AT BEST.he needs to prove he can do this at least three years in a row.we already got the highest paid defensive player in the nfl now.i cant see us haveing a good team if we pay everybody like that after just one season.

  26. We all saw this coming when we heard that Rosenhaus was gonna be his agent, but lets just pray Gore has an amazing season but just sits out a game because of an injury because then that way the 9ers have the upper hand so then gore will have to settle with top5 RB money.

  27. FUCK YOU’ ALL

  28. i smell a hold out 😦

  29. let him hold out then. one man is not the team!!! gore is not the first and will not be the last niners runningback. he can be replaced. look at ricky watters, a freak of nature with the niners but he left because his head got big and he bounced around having mediocre years and where is he now? gore can be replaced if worse comes to worse

  30. we should throw gore out after this season and get a runningback on draft or free agency fuck gore if he wants more money than LT he best be makin 3 TD’s a game and 150 yards a game. i say fuck gore and his money lovin son of a bich agent

  31. This is OUTRAGEOUS….he isn’t worth the highest contract in the league. He isn’t even the best runningback in the league. Top five yes, but not the BEST. There are more valuable players in this league than him. I am not knocking him, but the highest paid player in the league. Gore is standing by his MORON agent and going along with it so I guess we are going to be losing him after this coming season. Gore WILL hold out as long as Rosenidiot is his agent. Watch it happen!!!!! We are going to lose Gore because of this idiot!!!! The worst part is that Gore doesn’t seem to care that that leaves FAR less money to create a winning team with and furthermore it shows that he doesn’t really CARE!!!

  32. Hey Guys

I Wanted To apologize for what I Said On That Last Comment. It Wasnt Ture. You Guys Are All Right and I Think I should go to hell. Again I’m Turely Sorry. Please continue to say Bad Stuff About Me.

    Thank You

    YOURS TRULY,

    DREW ROSENHAUS

  33. running backs have a minimal life span and are easily replaced-drafting bush or booker would be “prudent” given gores apparent mindset

  34. Patrick Willis ran a 4.37 at his pro day today. He decided to run again, and ran a 4.38. He might not last til #11, but if he does, we have got ourselves a franchise player.

  35. You guys are flipping out…The niners want to rework his contract…of course drew would say that, thats why he has 90 clients to himself its called negotiating you will start high why not the highest paid in the league…he will though probably be the highest rb in the league the way the cap is set up definately top 3 anyway….even though rb’s are replaceable the niners aren’t going to let him go thats their guy…he will have an extension by training camp

  36. the more and more i think willis is our guy at 11…he is great i could only see atlanta taking him and that would leave us landry but they won’t

  37. operation lawson for willis would be adviseable given our pressing need at d-line and receiver-ginn would be the sexy pick at 11 but i would pull the trigger on carricker as our new haley’s comet

  38. Yeah, Landry and Branch aren’t going to be there, but as for Willis and Carriker…..they both are going to be pro studs and I would take either of them. Willis is what I would rather have, though.

  39. anyone else reminded of touchdown tommy wrathman when looking at film of leonard from rutgers? this guy would be a steal in round 3 if there

  40. SOOOO now that Willis is going to be no where near our range in the draft I am officially saying that we are going to draft Carriker. Unless something else comes up I see it likely that Carriker will be our first pick so we will look for a linebacker in the second round. Please Landry, FALL TO US or BRANCH even. No offense to Carriker, but he WAS THE LAST OPTION, I would prefer to get a better one than this.

  41. I fucking love Frank Gore, love em! BUT FUCK THAT SHIT… Drew will have to suck Nolans cock before he agrees to that bull shit, Nolan aint no fool, he will pay him a nice increase but TOP DOLLAR? FUCK YOU DREW BITCH ASS FUCKER. If we had LT we might have a deal…. but come on after 1 season… PA-LEASEEEE!!!!

  42. Its hard to say it about the guy, but Frank Gore has JOINED THE DARK SIDE and if Frank is listening now I hope he realizes that he STILL would have gotten paid, but now he wants to take more from the table than he is worth. It is sad that Frank doesn’t care about having a winning team and wants more money than he is worth when he KNOWS he isn’t the BEST PLAYER IN THE NFL!!!! After this season we might have seen the last of Frank Gore.

  43. drew rosenhaus is a dick headed motherfucker. Go smell another one of your clients money u fag ur alredy rich y want more and i bet uve never donated a cent to anyone u selfish fuck.

  44. rosenhaus is a bitch. plain and simple. if a woman would suck his dick he wouldnt be so mad. he just is tired of doing it himself since he cannot get women.

  45. hey everybody calm down…

the niners have all the leverage…all of it
gore has said nothing about leaving the niners but all of u are gettin worked up anyways…gores contract wont be touched before next offseason, and then he will be properly reimbursed, not highest paid ever tho, if he wont settle for a fair deal, the niners can slap the restricted free agent tag on him, which would guarantee us a 1st and third round draft pick if he left, and the highest tender is about 2.5 million dollars, signifigantly less than he would make if he signs the contract. After that the niners can slap the franchise tag on him. Gore will not sit out a year, he wouldn’t get paid, and he cant afford to do that.

frank gore is a team player, he will be with the niners for a long time, barring injuries

and i dont like drew rosenhaus…he thinks hes more important than he is

im so pumped for this year, we need to find another safety tho…im tellin u merriwether in the second round would be terrific,…willis carriker or branch in the first all will be good.

niners win the nfc west babyyyyyy

  46. Ryan the 1st…where exactly do you get the idea that Frank Gore doesn’t care about the team? I understand his jackass of an agent is talking about the biggest contract in the NFL that won’t have a chance in hell of becoming a reality but where has Gore come out and said that he deserves this? I haven’t seen any quote or interview with Gore stating this. Just because his agent said it does not mean that Gore is saying the same thing. Get me a link to where you saw this and I’ll believe you but until then, I still think it’s just Rosenhaus and not Gore talking here.

  47. That’s Gore’s agent and even if Gore doesn’t believe it about the team he is STIL GOING TO LET HIS AGENT DO THE TALKING and ONLY ACCEPT THE OFFER HIS AGENT SAYS IS OK!!! Are you ok with the deal his agent is proposing??? I AM against Gore getting low balled, but he isn’t deserving of being the highest paid player in the league. Since Gore is keeping quiet that speaks volumes….like he agrees with his agent and likes what Drew is asking.

  48. If he didn’t like it then he would have said something….and he isn’t. I would love for Gore to stay, but not at the cost of an arm and both of the niners legs….especially with his injury and fumbling history.

  49. gores not going anywhere. and if he wants out tough. he’s red and gold for 3 more years if we want him here. i love gore but if its evident that he’s gonna leave maybe an adrian peterson trade up is in order? big, fast, strong. if we plan on losing gore move up and get peterson

  50. This is a joke… first of all I think Gore deserves a pay raise because he is a hard worker and we all know his story and why he left early to the NFL… I have a lot of respect for him… I dont think he is going to cause issues because to me it he does not act like that kind of guy… Its dumb for his clown of an agent to make these demands everyone know we have gore by the balls for the next 3 years we can use him and let him go look at Jamal Lewis he is all bang up already that could be GOre 3 years from now and they know it… draft some one in the future thats how the new NFL works… I think GOre will be smart and take what ever pay raise its given to him..

    Next question??
The clown he has for an agent he is a whole different

  51. story
    next question??

  52. by the way I loke those burger king comercials…they are awsome

  53. Every NFL quarterback goes through growing pains.

But when you’re also the first pick overall in the NFL draft, like Alex Smith was in 2005, those pains tend to be a bit more agonizing.

The development of an NFL quarterback is a delicate process and it’s one that Smith initially experienced during his rookie season with the San Francisco 49ers.

In 2005, Smith started in seven of nine games played, missed four games with a knee injury and finished with a lowly 40.8 quarterback rating. It was the type of introduction to the pros that Smith and every 49ers fan to this day still tries to forget.

However, with some playing experience under his belt and still possessing a strong, live arm, Smith entered 2006 with a new outlook. He began the year as the starter and by season’s end, had become the first quarterback in 49ers history to take every snap in an entire season.

“One of my big goals was to take advantage of all the snaps,” Smith said. “The one thing for young quarterbacks that are playing, whether it’s from injury or for whatever reason, they need to stay on the field and that was one of my goals and I was able to do that this past year in every game for every play. I think that is something that I’m really going to benefit from in the long run.”

Making better use of his athletic ability, the 49ers called more rollout plays in 2006 and were able to utilize the play-action thanks to an effective running game spearheaded by Frank Gore. Although the young Smith naturally struggled at times, he showed maturation and vast improvement.

Smith set career highs in every offensive category, finishing with 257 completions on 442 attempts for 2,890 yards and 16 touchdowns. His final quarterback rating was 74.8, a marked improvement from his rookie season.

“It went well,” Smith said of his sophomore campaign. “We took some big steps and obviously we came close to getting into the playoffs and winning the division. A couple of plays in a couple of games and we could have been in (the playoffs). I guess that’s a good thing considering where we were. So we took some big steps, did some good things and are headed in the right direction.”

Under the guidance of the second-year pro, the 49ers finished 7-9 in the standings and left their fans with a reason to believe that a bright future lies ahead. Prior to 2006, the last time San Francisco won seven or more games was in 2003.

Individually, Smith showed signs of becoming a topflight quarterback. He registered four multi-touchdown games, engineered several comeback victories and led his team to a win over the Seattle Seahawks in his first prime time NFL game.

Although Smith has not arrived yet, he is on the verge of digging the storied franchise out of the hole it’s been stuck in for so many years.

“It was a big growing step for us to try and take this team to the next level,” Smith said of the progress both he and his teammates made last season.

Aiding Smith during his dramatic turnaround in his second year were people like Norv Turner, who served as the 49ers’ offensive coordinator in 2006, and Smith’s most valuable weapon, Gore, the starting tailback. While Turner has moved on to become the head coach in San Diego, Gore will be returning in 2007 as the featured back.

“We need to keep the pieces in place,” Smith said. “When you have stability, consistency, and are together for a long period of time, things can happen.”

Last season Gore carried the ball 312 times for a franchise record 1,695 yards, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that Smith is concerned with maintaining stability. With defenses focused on stopping Gore, it creates more opportunities for Smith to excel in the passing game.

We took some big steps, did some good things and are headed in the right direction.
    — Alex Smith

“Frank and I are good friends and really close,” Smith said. “He’s such a good guy, so unselfish and a great team player.”

Another weapon that should pay dividends for Smith if they can get in a full season together is the 49ers’ first-round draft pick (sixth overall) from 2006, tight end Vernon Davis. Davis missed six games due to a fractured fibula, but when available, provided an excellent target for Smith, catching 20 balls for three touchdowns as a rookie.

“We need to be more mature and come back and do what we need to do to win,” Davis said of the approach the team needs to take heading into the 2007 season. “Everyone that’s coming back has good experience now so we should know what needs to be done.”

Smith has already come a long way in two years, but he realizes he needs to continue working hard during each offseason if he wants to have a long and prosperous NFL career.

“We’re going to work on everything (this offseason),” Smith said. “There are things that come together with being together for more years and that can be anything. It can be the no-huddle offense, third down conversions, timing with receivers and being on the same page. So we’ll focus on all aspects of the game.”

When asked what he plans to do this offseason to improve his own game, Smith said, “I’m going to get back to work and watch some film. I’ll work out, get bigger, stronger and throw a lot.”

With a new season approaching and having spent two years battling through the developmental process, Smith can now leave it all in the past and look forward to fully blossoming in 2007.

  54. MAN..NOW DRAFT PATIRCK WILLIS…….GOSH DAMN…A FUCKIN 4.37 ON THA 40 YARD DASH…ITS A MUST..FUCK CJ….WE TALK BOUT HIM 2 MUCH..BUT U KNO DAMN WELL IT AINT GON HAPPEN…DONT GET ME WRONG HE A GOOD PLAYER..BUT IT AINT GON HAPPEN..OUR POSSIBILITY 4 A TOPFLIGHT PLAYER..IS PATRICK WILLIS..AND HW WEARS THA NUMBER 49..SHIT ITS A SIGN…IM FUCKIN SERIOUS…HE IS THA MISSIN PEICE 2 OUR 49ER RISE..

  55. ANY1 SEE NFL NETWORK PATH TO THE DRAFT SHOW EVERY1 ON THERE SAID THE NINERS NEED TO GO AFTER A WR WITH THAT #11 PICK AND DEFENSE WITH THE 2ND ROUND PICK. I THINK WE NEED TO GET JARRETT FROM USC I DONT CARE HOW FAST HE IS HE IS A PLAYMAKER HE REMINDS ME OF A JOHN TAYLOR

  56. JARRETT WOULD LOOK GREAT IN A NINER UNIFORM FORGET GIN JR TO SMALL ANYONE KNOW THAT JARRETT IS 6-5 A BIG TARGET FOR ALEX SMITH SOME DUDE ON CBSSPORTSLINE.COM HAS THE NINERS TAKING JARRETT IT WOULD BE SMART I DONT WANT THEM TO PICK UP SOM1 NAMED DORSEY WE HAD A DORSEY THEY SUCK!

  57. anybody saw the PATRICK WILLIS interview??? damn…i know he’s country…but uhm…hes uhm…he said more UHM than actual words as answers..im not dissin him…uhm….i havent seen much film on him…but UHM…i dunno…carriker is more of what we nid if we wont get calvin johnson or any of the top recievers…

  58. We should only get Jarrett if he slides to the second round…..he just has too many questions attached to him. Personally, I don’t see THAT MANY differences between him and Mike Williams.

  59. Ryan, you make the comparison with no basis at all. Because he went to USC? In all likelihood you make that comparison because you heard it somewhere else, most likely for some media starved pundit trying to make a story. Truth be told, you have no idea what kind of receiver Jarrett will be. Jarrett runs under a 4.5 and the Niners will look hard. Jarrett will never make it to the second round.

  60. And, Lelie is no guarantee. Jarrett runs under a 4.5 and we take him! This draft is loaded with defense and we have plenty of picks.

  61. He has NEVER ran UNDER a 4.5….if he has then I will shut up, but I want a source. The similarities are great….he is tall, has good hands, but is SLOW SLOW SLOW. They even make similar moves….especially when they run the flat.

  62. he will surprise people at his proday…will be between 4.45-4.55 and thats fine….bowe ran a 4.5 and they love him

  63. “Jarret runs under a 4.5 and we take him” does not intend to suggest he has run a 4.5. As you know, he has not ran a timed 40 yet. My comments suggests if he runs a 4.5, we take him. Pro day at USC is upcoming. What killed Williams was his piss poor attitude and lack of desire to be even decent. Are you suggesting that Jarrett also has this apporach?

  64. keyshawn johnson wasnt really fast was jerry rice that fast but they had game speed i like jarrett we need him mike williams is fat thats why he is slow

  65. The King is a fuckung asshole. I won’t work for him anymore.

    FUCK the KING.

    Stacker

  66. Guys any word on Bockwoldt? I saw a post on the ESPN ticker that said we signed him. We have 2 new linebackers, will this mean Willis is out of the picture? Meaning DE or WR for sure?

  67. We need a WR!! This is a key year for Smith. We can trade up or use our plethora of other picks on D-Line. Branch and Carriker don’t thrill me. Just my two cents. We still don’t have a proven WR is what I keep coming back to.

  68. thats why we useualy go offense in the first round because nolan can teach defense players. but a offensive player would make more sence in the first round because we got alot of rookie offensive head coaches especially this year.

  69. Honestly Homer, no WR is worth the 11 pick. That unless Jarrett is able to pull a miracle 4.5 or less on his 40 on his pro day. That might bring him up the board real fast. One thing to keep in mind is that the only true hole we have left in deffense is the line. To be honest I actually think we can get a good (not franchise, only CJ is franchis caliber) WR on the second round, that if Nolan doesnt trade up to get another 1st rounder (which to me sound just like Nolan) in which case Bowe or Jarrett or Ginn Jr would be his targets for sure.

  70. Zurdo…Bockwoldt is mainly for depth and special teams. he along with Lewis on ST will certainly make them better. Also it’s only a one year deal. If Willis is there at 11 and the 49ers feel he is the BPA they’ll take him. Considering he kicked ass at his pro day.

  71. Gore is under contract in 2007. Next year, the 49ers can virtually assure they retain Gore with a high tender as a restricted free agent. The 49ers would have the opportunity to match any offer sheet Gore signs, and if they decline they would receive first- and third-round draft picks. In 2009, the 49ers can lock up Gore for another season as the team’s franchise player. In essence, the 49ers could keep Gore around for the next three years at an expected total price tag of around $13 million

  72. draft moss the runningback out of miami for insurance this year unless he is still in school.

  73. Thanks Erickson.

  74. pintor98-we could keep him as a niner sure your right BUT he wont be in pads..he will be watching the games from his house eating popcorn with big drew holding out laughing at us because we suck and did not give him a new contract

  75. I would rather have Carriker than Jarrett. We could get a QUALITY receiver in the third round. Besides Calvin Johnson…..I just don’t see a player that is worth the 11th pick in the draft. WE NEED TO ADDRESS A NEED THAT CAN HELP US NOW. IF we were to draft Jarrett it would take 2-3 years before he fully contributed to the team…..he is horrible when corners jam him. What do you think is going to happen with him at the next level??? That is all they are going to do.

  76. Draft Willis, a 4.37. he will be there i think theres no teams before us that have LB as big a need to warrant a top 10 pick.

  77. I’m with Money Mike, Willis is what we NEED…..Landry is what we NEED……Carriker is what we NEED. Now with that 40 time our wish list should be 1)Willis 2)Landry 3)Branch 4)Carriker 5)The best defensive player available that I didn’t just list 6)Dwanye Jarrett.

  78. Carriker is the fail safe plan….he WILL be available and we would be fools to take Jarret over Carriker.

  79. DREW DESTROYS TEAMS AND MOLDS PLAYERS INTO EGO MANIACS! WE NEED GORE, GORE IS DISCIPLINED HARD WORKER, BUT GORE NEEDS TO SEE THE LIGHT AND DUMP ROSY. ROSY WILLY BE THE END OF HIS CAREER. ALL ROSY SEE’S IS $$$$$$$ SIMBLES, AND NOT THE REAL PICTURE DYNASTYS, PLAYING FOR THE LOVE OF THE GAME MAKING SOME GOOD MONEY, BUT NOT BEING GREETY. STEVE YOUNG WAS THE TRUE EXAMPLE OF A PLAYER. STEVE TOOK A PAY CUT TO KEEP THAT TRAITOR “PRIME TIME” IN SAN FRAN, BUT HE DID’NT FOLLOW SUIT AND WENT THE ROUT OF T.O. TO CORNDOGEATING WRESTLING WATCHING HEE-HAWLAND IN DALLAS. HOW WOULD YOU FEEL GOING FROM A KICK ASS CITY TO GOING TO THE GRAND OLD OPERA DOWNN IN HICKVILLE. THAT TOWN SUCKS, AND THE PEOPLE ARE WORSE. SO REMEMBER ANY BODY WANTING TO CONVERT TO HICKVILLE DALLAS THAT THE TEAM AND THE ORGINIATION ARE NOT EVEN CLOSE TO WHAT WE ARE IN SAN FRANCISCO. THATS WHY THEIR IS A RIVARLY BECAUSE WE ARE THE REAL DEAL AND WE ALWAYS BEEN A STEP ABOVE. IF YOU LIKE COWTIPPING GO TO DALLAS! REMEBER ONE THING THE 49ERS ARE THE FUTURE! AND WERE GOING FORWARD WITH NOLAN TO MORE CHAMPIONSHIPS.

  80. I agree with Lone Star and Drew, GO FUCK YOURSELF AND LEAVE GORE ALONE

  81. Well put, Mike!!!!

  82. JARRETT IS THE ANSWER AT NUMBER 11 PICK. WE HAVE STACKED THE DEFENSE WE NEED ONE MORE BIG TALL RECEIVER AND THATS JARRETT, NOT SOME SHORT ASS PUNT RENTURNER RECEIVER WE NEED A BIG TARGET AND SIZE FOR SMITH THAT IS THE ANSWER. I’M TELLIN YA. IF YOU WANT IMMEDIATE RESULTS FOR THIS TEAM THIS WILL DO IT JARRETT. SOMEONE SAID USC RECEIVERS ARE’T GOOD IN THE FIRST ROUND, BUT THIS KID IS SPECIAL HE’S LIKE GORE HE WORKS HIS ASS OFF. HE WATCHES TAPE, TRAINS HARD AND PLAYS HARDER. iF YOU WANT TO WIN NOW THEN GET THIS GUY. THIS GUY WILL BE LIKE MARCUS COLSTAN, LIKE JOHN TAYLOR LIKE THAT TRAITOR T.O. WAS PRE – COWHICK- PRE ROSY. HE IS THE LAST BIG CHUNK OF THE PUZZLE PIECE! DRAFT JARRETT! GET IT DONE!

  83. I just heard about Patrick WIllis running a 4.37

I understand that this generates more interest for other teams to try and draft him ahead of us, but this is simply a win-win situation. If he falls to us, then we will definitely have a solid player and future leader on our team; If someone steals him in the top 10, then it will open up more options for other players, that would have been chosen earlier.

basically giving the Niners a hand full of options, not a bad position to be in at all.

    is it September yet?

  85. i just bought the lindys draft book and they have a 2 round mock draft.in the first they said we will get adam carriker and in the second round we will pick lamarr woodley.and i also bought the sporting news draft book and in there one round mock draft they got us picking aaron ross cb from texas or leon hall but i think that mock draft was made before we got nate clements.and i also just bought the espn nfl draft book and in there mock draft they got us picking up alan branch and in the later rounds have us geting cals -nu tafisi as an outside pass rusher.i just figured i would share this with you guys since i went out and got the books.but i do like willis too.

  86. and here is patrick willis(bio)they compare him to jeremiah trotter, AGAINST THE INSIDE RUN-8.5-is consistently around the ball and usally fills holes.he is agressive and has the stregth to jolt blockers upright and drive them into the backfield.must learn to use hands better to shed blocks and to protect his legs from cut blocks.AGAINST THE OUTSIDE RUN-80-lacks elite speed but reads and reacts to plays quickly, wich helps him play faster than expected.can make tackles along the sidelines.accelerates to full speed quickly;has an explosive burst to finish plays.BLITZ AND COVERAGE-7.5 is not an ex plosive blitzer.gets presure with strength, efford and hustle.is smooth and fluid dropping into zone coverage.reads quarterbacks well and reacts quickly.picks up tight ends nicely.RUN/PASS RECOGNITION;8.0-shows great instincts reading plays.does not get fooled on play action fakes.reads micdirection plays well.PURSUIT/TACKLING-7.5-never stops chasing the ball.when his path is clear, consistantly, tracts down the ball career.

  87. GET THAT NIGGA PATRICK

  88. sorry didnt finish the patrick willis bio, continuing on,PURUIT/TACKLING-doesnt use hands well when shifting threw traffic.BOTTOMLINE-willis is not a franchize linebacker, but he makes plays all over the field and can start inside or outside or on the strong side.he is ideal for teams that place a high value on intangibles and versatility.FINAL GRADE 8.0. AND THAT IS THE BIO ON PATRICK WILLIS IN THE SPORTING NEWS DRAFTBOOK.

  89. The latest mockdraft ive seen, at profootballtalk.com, has Patrick Willis going at number 4 to the Tampa Bay Bucs; leaving us with Amobi Okoye.

I try not to get caught up in believing these things since they’re often incorrect, but damn they have him at #4 now?!!

  90. FUCK THAST NIGGA Drew Rosenhaus HE CAN SUCK MY HARRY BALLS AHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  91. I HEARD THE NINERS HAVE BIG INTEREST IN P.WILLIS AND THEY BETTER DRAFT HIM1

  92. LMAO.IN THE LINSEYS DRAFT BOOK THEY HAVE AMOBI OKOYE-N.F.L. COMPARISON-49ERS MELVIN OLIVER!!!

  93. im starting to like defensive end from georgia- charles johnson in the first round or the other defensive end from nebraska jay moore in the third round.hey jerry i seen that too about them comparing okoye to melvin oliver in the steve linseys draft magazine, because they both have the same body type and strength.

  94. We can’t let Willis slip out of our fingers. He is too much of a talent.

  95. if we take jarrett at #11 we are retarded-this guy cant get off the line-he didnt catch dink against houston(arkansaw CB) for me carriker is not a second or 3rd option-i feel he could be big time player aspireing to fill haleys shoes one day-pick up willis like lawson last year-package a draft pick and a player for him-then pick up leonard or booker for insurance on gore

  96. ps-comparing jarrett to john taylor is like comparing a pinto to a hummer

  97. I think It will be P willis (1st) choice Laundry (2nd) choice and then if both are gone a d-line Okobe or branch.

  98. we need a wide reciver really bad, a go to guy for alex smith, and we will be on da road to a 6th super bowl win!
